Belayneh Abejie, M.D., MPH, graduated from Harvard University in Occupational and Environmental Medicine where he served as Chief Resident for the program. He earned his MPH degree in Epidemiology from Tulane University School of Public Health, New Orleans. He completed extensive residency training in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Abejie started his medical training in his homeland and received his Medical Degree from Addis Ababa University Gondar College of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Abejie is board certified in Internal Medicine and Occupational and Environmental Medicine, with more than 17 years' experience in public health. He has special interest and training in Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

When Dr. Abejie isn’t practicing medicine you might find him writing poetry and essays in his native language.

Vijay Balasubramanian, M.D., specializes in pulmonary disease. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. His residency and fellowship training were completed at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The Pulmonary Hypertension Program is a new program at Community Regional Medical Center and is providing patients with an array of services, specific to this disease. It offers everything from diagnosis to treatment, and both in-patient and out-patient care is available.

Richard Bertken, M.D., specializes in rheumatology. He is board certified in Rheumatology. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles. Kathryn Bilello, M.D., specializes in pulmonary disease. She is board certified in Internal Disease, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Her fellowship training was completed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and she attended the University of California, Davis for her undergraduate work.

Jayanta Choudhury, M.D. graduated from Calcutta National Medical College, Calcutta, India in 1993 with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree. He attended the Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, India for his post graduate training in Internal Medicine, graduating in 1997. He received this MRCP in 2000 from the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. In 2003 he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Guthrie Clinic/Robert Parker Hospital, Sayre, Pennsylvania and became board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed his fellowship training in Gastroenterology/ Hepatology and Nutrition at the Virginia Commonwealth University and Medical College of Virginia Health System, Richmond, Virginia in June 2007. He is currently board eligible in Gastroenterology.

His special areas of interest include pancreato-biliary therapeutic endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound with fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA).

Dr. Choudhury has received numerous honors and awards including the Stanley Conklin award for original publication during residency (2003) and the Gold Medal in Internal Medicine from the Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India.

Dr. Choudhury, his wife and daughter have moved from Richmond, Virginia. When Dr. Choudhury isn’t practicing medicine you can find him enjoying his love of photography or traveling.

Dominic Dizon, M.D., specializes in Internal Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Dizon completed his Internship and residency training at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center – Oakland. He attended the University of California, Davis for his undergraduate degree and the University of California, Davis School of Medicine for his graduate degree.

He and his wife have six children. Dr. Dizon enjoys community volunteer activities and spending time with his family.

Ramnik Josan, M.D., graduated from the Government Medical College, Patiala, India in 1999 with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degrees. She received her intern training at Rajindra Hospital Patiala and Civil Hospital Ludhiana, India. The Civil Hospital Ludhiana is recognized by the Medical Council of India. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at UCSF Fresno and is board certified in internal medicine.

Dr. Josan has volunteered at free medical camps at Fremont and San Jose Sikh Temples for preventative medicine and as a teacher in an Asthma awareness camp organized by the American Lung Association, Santa Clara. She was a Research Assistant at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto.

Rabi Kundu, M.D., specializes in GI cancers, endoscopic outcome research, advanced endoscopic imaging and therapeutics and the evolving field of Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES). He practices Gastroenterology and Hepatology with special emphasis on hepatobiliary advanced therapeutic procedures including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography and Endoscopic Ultrasound.

His fellowship training in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy was completed at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Kundu has received several honors and awards including recognition from the North American Conference of GI Fellows in 2004 and 2006 (the top 40 GI fellows are selected in the US and Canada), best presentation award in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at the Annual Conference of the American College of Gastroenterology and the NOSCAR grant for NOTES (one of the pivotal grants given in the world for research in NOTES).

He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and sports.

Soe Naing, M.D., received his postgraduate medical training in the UK and the US. In the US he completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and fellowship training in Endocrinology at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He worked as an Endocrinologist and Director of Centegra Diabetes Center in Chicago after completing his fellowship.

Dr. Naing is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and Internal Medicine. He is a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, American Medical Association, American Diabetes Association, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society. He is the Medical Director of Community Diabetes Care Center at Sierra Adult Clinic.
