Neurosurgery

Yu-Hung Kuo, M.D., Ph.D., is a fellowship trained neurosurgeon specializing in the treatment of oncologic lesions affecting the nervous system.

Dr. Kuo received his medical degree from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. While at Columbia, he also received a Ph.D. in Cellular, Molecular and Biophysicial Sciences. He completed his residency in Neurological Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Medical Center. Afterwards, he was the recipient of the prestigious William P. Van Wagenen Fellowship awarded by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Known for his treatment of complex neurosurgical cases, Dr. Kuo specializes in tumors of the brain and pituitary gland. Combining his strong background in research with his clinical expertise, Dr. Kuo uses a variety of techniques to provide patients with the means to improved quality of life.

Dr. Kuo is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), the Society for Neuro-Oncology, and the Society for Neuroscience.
