Urogynecology & Pelvic Floor Medicine

Dr. O’Shaughnessy is a graduate of Dartmouth Medical School and the UCSF Fresno OB/GYN Residency Program.

His chief clinical and teaching interests are in urogynecology and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery. He is director of the urogynecology clinic at the Women’s Health Center.

Dr. O’Shaughnessy received the Kaiser Award for Clinical Teaching from UCSF in 1999 and was co-recipient of the UCSF Fresno Research Award in 1998. His current research activity includes paravaginal defect repair, primary perineal body repair, and the levator ani syndrome. Dr. O’Shaughnessy is also Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Board Certified in FPMRS (Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery).
