Caterina Mosti, Ph.D., specializes in neuropsychology.

Dr. Mosti obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from Drexel University. She completed a pre-doctoral internship program at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she further specialized in adult and medical neuropsychology. Upon completion of her doctorate, she enrolled in a post-doctoral fellowship program at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and received specialized training in medical consultation-liaison neuropsychology, neuropsychology of epilepsy, pre- and post-surgical cognitive evaluations, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Dr. Mosti’s professional interests include cognitive assessment of dementia, neuropsychiatric conditions, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological diseases. In addition to her training in neuropsychology, Dr. Mosti has clinical expertise in assessment and treatment of sleep disorders including insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, and sleep apnea syndrome.

Throughout her career, Dr. Mosti has been involved in many academic pursuits related to sleep disorders, traumatic brain injury, and neuropsychology, including being invited to present at local and national conferences, writing academic book chapters, and being published in several peer reviewed journals. Most notably, she has been published in The Clinical Neuropsychologist, Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience, Neurology: Clinical Practice, Rehabilitation Psychology, and the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Mosti has independently led several research projects related to sleep, women’s health, and neuropsychology interests and has demonstrated a particular research specialization in post-concussive sleep disturbance in adolescents and adults. Moving forward, she aims to expand her line of research to include assessment and treatment of sleep disturbances in individuals with early neurodegenerative disease.

If you asked Dr. Mosti what the most valuable lesson she learned in her academic career was, she would say to always stay curious and to be open to the guidance of mentors because there is always room for growth, no matter the stage of your career. When she’s not treating patients or researching sleep disorders, you can find Dr. Mosti spending time outdoors or making slow but incremental progress on her fixer-upper home.

As an active member in the neuropsychology community, Dr. Mosti is a member of the following organizations; The American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, APA Division 40 – Neuropsychology, APA Division 22 – Rehabilitation Psychology, National Academy of Neuropsychology, Sleep Research Society, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
