General Surgeon

UCSF Fresno and Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG) are recruiting a General Surgeon to join our faculty. Applicants must be Board Eligible or Board Certified (within 5 years post-training) in General Surgery, possess advanced laparoscopic skills, and have or be able to obtain a California medical license. Candidate must be motivated and have the ability to build a private practice and have a strong interest in residency training. Advanced post graduate training is preferred. This is an opportunity to teach in a fully accredited 5-year surgical residency.

Within CCFMG, we have more than 15 faculty practice sites known as the University Centers for Excellence (UCOE). Each UCOE location is staffed by physicians who serve on the faculty for the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, and teach at the UCSF Fresno branch campus. This UCOE practice will be the primary referral for general surgery for the largest primary care IPA in the area. Additionally, you will receive privileges at Community Regional Medical Center, a 650-bed academically affiliated regional referral center, Level 1 Trauma Center and Burn Center.

The program is located in Fresno, California, a vibrant, growing and diverse city in the Central Valley of California close to three national parks and three hours from San Francisco.

Salary: $325,000. The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits.  Actual compensation may be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.  Actual compensation may also vary based on additional services, including call coverage, administrative services, performance bonus, and/or productivity.
