The University Orthopaedic Associates office provides patients with diagnosis and treatment of the musculoskeletal system. This includes all phases of orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine.

The majority of musculoskeletal problems can be treated without surgery. In the cases where surgery is necessary, our orthopaedic surgeons are knowledgeable in the latest techniques which offer our patients the best outcomes. Orthopaedic surgeons manage special problems of the musculoskeletal system that involve:

  • Diagnosis of your injury or disorder
  • Prevention through information and treatment plans to prevent injury or slow the progression of diseases
  • Rehabilitation by recommending exercise or physical therapy to restore movement, strength and function
  • Treatment with medication, exercise, surgery or a combination

Daniel Baxter, M.D., specializes in Orthopaedic trauma, sports medicine, arthritis and joint replacement. He received his board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1989. He’s a member of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Daniel Baxter, M.D., received his undergraduate degree from Princeton and his doctorate in medicine from New York University School of Medicine. His surgical internship was completed at the New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center and his residency in orthopaedic surgery was at the Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, a State University of New York affiliate.

He is an avid hockey fan. He enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking.

Deniz Baysal, M.D., specializes in complex fractures, fractures not healed or incorrectly healed, minimally invasive and percutaneous techniques, and hip and knee joint replacement. He received his board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Baysal received his undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary, then attended the University of Alberta – Medical School. He completed his fellowship training at UT Southwestern Medical School.

He and his lovely wife, Heather, along with their black Labrador Retriever, Robbie, moved here from Pennsylvania. Shortly after arriving in Fresno they welcomed their son to their family. Dr. Baysal is an avid hockey fan. He also enjoys the great outdoors – hiking, mountain biking, downhill skiing and sailing.

Eric Lindvall, D.O., specializes in Orthopaedic traumatology – adult and pediatric limb and pelvic trauma, complex intra-articular fractures, open fractures, delayed unions, non-unions, malunions, acetabular and pelvic fractures, post traumatic joint and limb reconstruction. He is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Lindvall completed his internship and residency at Botsford General Hospital. His orthopaedic trauma fellowship training was at Tampa General Hospital.

He enjoys spending time with his family – fishing, hiking and various sporting activities.

Armen Martirosian, M.D., specializes in orthopaedic trauma and fracture care. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of Southern California. He completed his surgery internship and residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. His fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma was completed at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute - Tampa General Hospital.

Dr. Martirosian enjoys spending time with family and friends and practicing martial arts.
