Our Services

Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG) physicians integrate clinical expertise, research and education to provide the best care and state-of-the-art technology for our patients and our community. CCFMG and the University Centers of Excellence enhance recruitment of new specialists to the area; training and providing our community with physicians, surgeons and specialists to treat patients and create new research and clinical fellowships for the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program. This synergistic effect is supported by studies showing that 30% to 50% of residents stay in the area where they do their residency and 80% of fellows remain in the area where they do their fellowship training – giving our Valley greater access to specialized medical care.

The UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program is a major clinical and educational branch of the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine – the top ranked medical school on the west coast (one of the top 10 nationally). UCSF attracts top physicians to the Valley to teach residents and fellows at UCSF Fresno.

Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is UCSF Fresno’s primary teaching facility. With a 58-acre campus, Community Regional brings Valley residents the highest level of care possible. Its 56,000 square foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California and is home to the region's only burn and Level 1 trauma center.

In 2007, Community Regional completed a 340,000 square foot, six story trauma and critical care building and opened a 52-bed Neuroscience Center of Excellence dedicated to brain and spine patients. In 2008 a new, 50-bed cardiology unit was opened with state-of-the-art monitoring equipment and private rooms. Also opened was a 56-bed Level 3 neo-natal intensive care unit, keeping moms and their newborns close to each other.
